Early Life and Family
Demetria Devonne Lovato was born on 20 August 1992 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Dianna De La Garza and Patrick Lovato. Their parents divorced in 1994, and Demi grew up in Dallas, Texas, with their mother. They have an older sister, Dallas, and a younger half-sister, actress Madison De La Garza. Demi’s father died of cancer in 2013.

Barney and Disney Beginnings (2002–2007)

Camp Rock and Sonny with a Chance (2008–2011)

Camp Rock premiered on Disney Channel in June 2008 and was one of the network’s biggest original films of its era.
